The purpose of this fund for Hispanic ministry is to support local congregations and community-based organizations that are responding to the spiritual and social needs of the Hispanic/Latino population in the U.S. Grants from this fund prioritize intentional leadership development within evolving generations. Grants will support new and traditional forms of ministries as well as community-based programs that address the socio-economic conditions of Hispanics/Latinos. The fund will support annual conference strategies that include: Leadership training for clergy and laity as well as youth and young adults The renewal and invigoration of existing ministries Programs to address poverty through holistic and comprehensive initiatives The promotion of health and wellbeing (for example, small grants to Hispanic/Latino congregations that provide community health programs) Those who seek funding should submit proposals with a clear description of goals and objectives. An end of project evaluation is required.
